3rd blog posting: the prophet isaiah

isaiah was a prophet in the kingdom of judah. judah was overthrown by the assyrians. Isaiah prophesized during the reigns of both good and bad kings, Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. he lived until the fourteenth year of Hezekiah. during the exile, isaiah took part in events and at some point was a guide through these events. Isaiah knew that Judah was the lone place where the people could go back to following God's truthful messages and way of life. Isaiah had courage in the people of Judah to follow the right path. If anyone follows the right path in any aspect of life, then being successful and happy will come easily and will be involved in our lives. i think the way isaiah preached to the people was great. he taught them to believe in one god and one god only.

proverb 4:5-7

Get wisdom, get understanding;
 do not forget my words or turn away from them.
 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
 love her, and she will watch over you.
  The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
 Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
     I chose this quote because it has a meaning that says that no matter what you say she will still keep you and that you have to understand it.
         Also because it was the first thing i saw while googling wisdom quotes. But either way it has a pretty straight forward meaning that is not hard to understand. And as we learn through many years the right thing to do is to be honest. And if they really love you they will understand whatever you may say they can handle the fact that your honest.
        This quote was meant to speak about a relationship. It is talking about a trust and honest relationship. And although is may cost all of your possessions you will learn from it.
